Andautonija was ancient Roman city from 1st to 4th century AD, located only 12 km from Zagreb in the Valley of Sava River.
Thanks to the archaeological excavations now we know that Andautoinija had a stone paved streets, public buildings, residential neighborhoods and cemeteries. Also, the remains of the thermal spa with a semi-circular pool, canals for the water supply and system of heating the rooms, were found. Besides, the remains of ancient buildings in Andautonija you can see the wall paintings, mosaic cubes, ceramic and glass vessels, bronze jewelry, Roman coins and various other items for everyday use. Two days per year the Archeological Park is hosting an event Andautonia Days. This is a thing to visit if you want to try the Roman clothes, Roman food or a drink, or maybe even play the one of old Roman games.
