Itinerary

Day 1 VENICE (Italy) - Arrival

Our Magical Tour starts in Venice, Italy. Your personal ZagrebTours guide will welcome you there and take you to your Hotel where you will spend the first two nights. Overnight in Venice.

Day 2 VENICE

This morning we will explore this splendid city discovering its iconic sites and monuments. You will soon feel the romance of Venice by visiting places like St. Mark's Square and the Basilica, the Dodges Palace or the Campanile. We will also enjoy its labyrinth of canals crossed by beautiful bridges, including the famous Bridge of Sighs and the Rialto Bridge. This afternoon is free for you to little bit more in this beautiful city. Overnight in Venice.

Day 3 VENICE - PIRAN (Slovenia) - ROVINJ (Croatia)

Today we are driving from Venice across Slovenia to Croatia and we will end our day in Rovinj. On the way there we will stop in Piran, a picturesque cultural monument of Slovenian part of Adriatic coast. After we check into our hotel in Rovinj, we will take you for a walk along the labyrinth of cobblestone streets in Istria’s most charming coastal town. The afternoon will be at your leisure to explore small art shops and galleries or just to enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the Adriatic. Overnight in Rovinj.

Day 4 ROVINJ - ISTRIAN Tour - OPATIJA

After breakfast we are taking you on a journey across the Istrian peninsula, exploring Istrian medieval towns, villages and breathtaking landscapes. From Poreč and its Byzantine Euphrasius Basilica across the hill town Motovun to the tiny Hum you will enjoy every step of the way. We will also have the opportunity to try some of the specialties of the delicious regional cuisine like truffles, olive oils and wines.
We are ending this day in Opatija - the Queen of Adriatic. After we check in, take the opportunity to walk along the famous promenade with many old villas, splendid parks and gardens. Overnight in Opatija.

Day 5 OPATIJA - PLITVICE LAKES - ZADAR

We are leaving Opatija in the morning and just for a bit taking you the continental part of Croatia to discover you one of the best kept secrets of Croatia - the Plitvice Lakes National Park. For some famous yet for some still undiscovered world natural heritage but we promise you that this open gallery of crystal clear water and waterfalls and this green oasis made of sixteen lakes will definitely thrill you. In the afternoon, we are coming back to the Adriatic coastline and we will spend a night in an old Croatian town Zadar.
Before we head for a good night sleep, we will show you the amazing sunset by the famous city monument - the Sea Organ. Overnight in Zadar.

Day 6 ZADAR - ŠIBENIK - TROGIR - SPLIT

Today we head south, down the Adriatic coast line and our first stops will be again couple of  old Croatian towns Šibenik and Trogir. In Šibenik, we will see the unique monument of European sacral architecture – St. Jacobs Cathedral, which has been listed as UNESCO's World Cultural Monument. The Šibenik Cathedral, adorned with 72 stone heads, is the most significant architectural creation in Croatia from 15th and 16th century.
Trogir, an old Croatian town first inhabited by Greeks and Romans, is famous for its Romanic and gothic old core with famous Cathedral. We will also stop for a lunch at the traditional Dalmatian Tavern in Trogir.
In the afternoon we are arriving to Split. After you check in, we suggest that you spend your evening by taking a walk through the heart of Split – the famous Split waterfront or Riva where you will feel the friendly and cozy atmosphere of this vibrant city. Overnight in Split.

Day 7 SPLIT

After breakfast, we will take you for a walk throughout the „most beautiful town in the world“, how Split if often called by its citizens. We’ll visit the Diocletian Palace in the heart of Split, built as a residential palace seventeen hundred years ago by the Roman Emperor Diocletian and also a priceless monument included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage. We will also walk up to Marijan hill and admire some of the best viwes. After the city tour you will have the time to spend your leisure afternoon in Split. Overnight in Split.

Day 8 SPLIT - HVAR (Hvar Island)

This morning we are taking a ferry to the Hvar Island. Our next destination is the old renaissance town Hvar.  We invite you to spend the relaxation afternoon on this island of vineyards, olive groves and lavender. Enjoy the clean sea, beautiful Pakleni islands near the town Hvar and try some fresh seafood in one of many good restaurants. Overnight in Hvar resort.

Day 9 HVAR - KORČULA (Korčula Island)

After spending some more time on the sunniest island of the Adriatic, we are leaving Hvar by taking a catamaran to Korčula Island which is one of the largest and most attractive of more than thousand Croatian islands. Korčula Island is home to Korčula town, a hometown of the famous explorer Marco Polo and smaller version of Old Dubrovnik with its fortification, narrow shaded streets and summer festivals. The beauty of the Island was always attracting different people from all over the World. Overnight in Korčula.

Day 10 KORČULA - PELJEŠAC PENINSULA - STON - DUBROVNIK

We are leaving Korčula today and heading back to mainland. Driving across the Pelješac peninsula we will enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and end for a stop in the little town called Ston on the beginning of the peninsula, known for the fortification complex dating from the 14th century and quite unique in its length of 3,5 miles. The Ston area is also known for great seafood especially oysters which are grown in the Little Ston bay. We will also enjoy the seafood lunch in one of famous Ston Taverns. In the afternoon, we will arrive to Dubrovnik and check into our Hotel. We suggest that you spend the rest of your evening getting the first impressions of Dubrovnik. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 11 DUBROVNIK

This whole day is reserved for exploring and enjoying in our Pearl of Adriatic – the old town Dubrovnik. The great George Bernard Shaw wrote: „Those who seek paradise on Earth must come to Dubrovnik“and he was as many others overjoyed by the beauty and rich history of this old town under the UNESCO protection. Its glorious walls, with their fortresses and bastions, offer a unique walk with view of the magical Elafiti islands. From the Onofrio fountain to the City bell tower, along its main street, Stradun and in many other small and quiet cobblestone streets, every step in this town will be an experience par excellence. After our walking tour, we are taking you for a lunch in one of Dubrovnik’s taverns. In the afternoon, we invite you to collect more impressions of Dubrovnik. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 12 DUBROVNIK - Day trip to MONTENEGRO - DUBROVNIK

Today we are taking you for a day trip from Dubrovnik to Montenegro. We will visit Boka Bay and the old city of traders and famous sailors – Kotor. The medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have made Kotor an UNESCO World Natural and Historical Heritage Site. In the afternoon we are driving back to Dubrovnik to spend our last night there. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 13 DUBROVNIK - Departure

Our Magical journey is ending today. After thirteen wonderful days and exploring the Adriatic coastline the time has come to say good bye. Your host and now for sure your good Croatian friend will drive you to the Dubrovnik airport and wish you a pleasant journey and Good bye!
